When the Krauss group isn’t hard at work in the lab, they can often be found competing in a number of “friendly” competitions with other groups in the Chemistry Department. Each summer, the Krauss lab holds a mini golf battle royale against the Bren group, and they’re always ready to take on the inorganic chemists in laser tag. The Krauss group also enjoys going to Rochester Amerks hockey and Red Wings baseball games, playing in the Chemistry Department’s summer softball league, and taking long walks on the beach. Some of the group’s annual events include their summer picnic, fall pumpkin carving, and ice skating parties.
